Is God recruiting to fulfill his ultimate plan?
I just read somewhere that as per scientific estimation, there are over a 100 billion galaxies with billions of stars and planets in each.
Till date, we have not discovered life on any of these planets. Either our technology hasn't evolved to a stage where we can see other life forms or there aren't any.
Now this reminded me of the verse in Genesis 1 where even Earth was in a similar state. Other than that one couple and some animals, this beautiful planet didn't have any beings that the creator could commune with. He asks Adam and Eve to breed and populate the earth. And since then we have been doing that.
Now is it possible that he probably wants his creation to populate the other planets as well?
As humans, we are already doing our best to understand the environment and topography of other planets. Maybe some day we will advance enough to conquer and tame these planets.
Another possibility is that once we die and leave this earthly body behind we are, according to the bible, gifted with a new body. This body might not be challenged with the same restrictions imposed on the human body. For instance, Jesus could walk through walls when he came back from the dead. He also doesn't allow anyone to touch him during the initial few days of his coming back. But later on, when he starts appearing with more frequency he does allow Thomas and the other disciples to touch him. Could it be that his body was still being processed to reach a certain stage of efficiency?
To me, this sounds somewhat similar to the human birthing process.
The child in the womb can't survive outside the womb till s/he is fully formed. When the child comes out of the womb, for the initial few days, any contact with a huge bunch strangers is not advisable. Now could our life on earth be a preparatory phase for the next stage in the birthing process? Is it possible that in the next life, as we now call it, our bodies are no longer constrained by earthly limitations such as the need for Oxygen, certain kinds of food, etc?
Could our current lives be a preparatory phase before we are placed on other planets? Could God's ultimate plan be to populate all these planets and galaxies with his creation? Could he be looking at placing those who turn out a certain way on different planets to either rule and tame or just populate them? Jesus does say if you prove yourself worthy of managing small things then you will be put in charge of bigger things? He also says we will be rulers? I have always wondered what we would rule over? Could our life on planet earth be a test of our capabilities -- a kind of quality testing or verification and validation as it's called in the software world? Maybe, what we are put in charge of will depend on how much we were willing to extend ourselves in our current lives!
What are your thoughts?
