Confusion Part-III - The Conclusion
If within our own tiny little solar system, time can mean different things on different planets; if within our own world called Earth, time can be different depending on your position on the latitude and longitude, then would someone who is supposed to be our creator and also the creator of this whole universe be bound by the confines of time?I doubt it very much. Einstein's theory of relativity and the resultant space-time continuum comes to mind if you want to think of a scientific explanation.
Well, the fact of the matter is that someone who is not bound by the same restraints as we are can have a totally different perspective of things. Here we could compare it to the ask of employees by their corporate leaders to develop a broader perspective and big picture thinking. The latter makes an otherwise mundane job more fulfilling.
For example, a nut on its own may feel its life is meaningless. But when it meets the bolt and realizes that together they can hold many things together or that without them many things would be impossible for mankind, then it finds its raison d'ĂȘtre. But when many of us find it difficult to see that perspective within our own tiny world, it then becomes even more difficult if not impossible to understand the perspectiv
e of the creator.
e of the creator.
Anyway, the creator also had an issue. He realized that he could probably never understand man fully unless he became man for a period of time. How can the "immortal, omniscient, omnipotent," understand the fears and concerns of the weak and mortal! It's like the rich trying to understand the issues of the absolute poor. You can only imagine the situation, you can go hungry to understand hunger, but you can't really experience the helplessness unless you yourself give everything up and decide to become poor.
This then is what the creator decided to do. Become man. Even then he knew that his becoming man doesn't necessarily allow humankind to become pure sinless souls. So he decided to add a bonus, a gift if you want to call it that. A gift called grace. Earlier, you had to submit to 'God the omnipotent' in order to be accepted by him. And that required you undertaking some severe penance including continuously sacrificing your wealth and bearing other hardships.
Even then you could never be entirely sure that you were in the right! The previous sacrifice of a portion of your wealth or even your entire wealth may have got you redemption for your previous sins. Any new sin you committed post that, no matter how insignificant it seemed, required new sacrifices. The wages or penalty of sin. You sin, you pay, Unlike advance tax you could never make advance payment for your sins. And one new sin nullified all your previous payments.
Now, he decided that anyone who just accepted him in his human form would also get the same privileges. Accept him, put your faith in him, and you get the right to be called his children again.
